APD DIAGNOSIS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
For NHS testing:
- Children and adults will need to have had a hearing test within the 3 months before referral .An NHS referral won't be accepted if there is hearing loss, or glue ear, or grommets in place. But you might be able to be tested privately if the hearing loss is not severe.
- When seeking a referral, please take the "APD testing centres" document with you, plus the document below "APD referrral process".
- The centres on our list are only included on the basis of the information that they have provided. Where you go is your choice.
- APD Support UK bears no responsibility for your choice of testing centre or any refusal to accept a referral. Any complaints should be made to the chosen testing centre if you are unhappy with their service.
N.B. If you are a professional who runs an APD testing centre that is not included in our list and you feel that it should be added, or you are a parent/patient who has been referred to a centre not on that list, either for yourself or your child, please email apd.support.uk@aol.co.uk

APD TESTING CENTRES
UPDATED VERSION ADDED: 30th May 2022
The "APD testing centres" document below details the locations, referral and testing process for children and adults, with NHS and private options. These centres are the ONLY ones in England and Wales confirmed as currently providing FULL testing. The list is updated as new centres are added, as are any criteria provided. Please read all parts of the document, not just the list of testing centres: it has vital information on the testing and other details.
NEW APD REFERRAL PROCESS
When seeking a referral, for a child or yourself, please take this document with you to your GP or other professional (as well as the document "APD testing centres") as they may not know the recommended APD referral process.
